Dan is among the most experienced ground level managers of forest investments in the world and oversees the company’s New Zealand-based carbon forestry venture from an operational standpoint. He previously was the western region manager for Forest Systems. Prior to joining the company, he was North Cascades area manager for The Campbell Group. In that role he oversaw a staff of 14 that was responsible for the day-to-day management of nearly 110,000 acres in Washington State and British Columbia. Among other things, this entailed management of resource planning, harvesting, reforestation, road building, road construction, land maintenance, stewardship and environmental regulatory compliance. He also oversaw the marketing of nearly 125 million board feet of timber each year. Earlier in his career, Dan was a field forester with Weyerhaeuser; a silvicultural forester for Boise Cascade; and, a timber sale appraiser with WTD Industries. He holds dual bachelors degrees in forestry and business administration from Washington State University.
