Scott began his career with the Walt Disney where he worked with various finance and yield management groups forecasting and producing demand analysis in support of the company’s sales function. He subsequently became manager of product development at Universal Studios where he was responsible for pricing and regression analysis as well as the development of demand forecasting models. He also worked with Ernst & Young LLP, where he served public companies, defense contractors and entrepreneurial high tech start up companies. Scott later worked with XL Tech Group, a technology incubator, where he was involved in the start-up operations of several enterprises in the imaging and bio-tech industries. In this capacity, he focused on raising investment capital from venture sources and initial public offerings. Scott also has experience in the real estate sector – serving as both chief financial officer and president of Legend Properties, a $100 million real estate development and management company. In addition to overseeing Legend’s land development and construction activities, he managed the operation of several private country clubs, marinas and skilled nursing/assisted living facilities. Most recently, Scott was a member of the management team that developed the business plan and public offering of AgCert International plc, a developer of greenhouse gas emission offset projects. During his time with AgCert, Scott served as corporate controller and director of joint ventures. This entailed establishing the infrastructure for corporate finance and analysis and partnering with the AES Corporation to develop a large-scale carbon business based on agricultural greenhouse gas emission offset projects under the CDM and JI Kyoto mechanisms. These projects were primarily located in Asia and Eastern Europe. Scott holds a BS in business administration from the University of Central Florida and is a certified public accountant.
